Synopsis:
Old Man Adventures is a game where you play as an old man who leaves his house in search of an adventure to (the only place I could think of as a kid) a retirement home! Play to find out the different things the old man encounters on his way to relaxation and Saturday night bridge!
The History of Old Man Adventures & Where it took me:
I made Old Man Adventures when I was around 11-12, It was the very first game I ever made. While very simple and sort of strange I later uploaded it here, to GameJolt, so I could preserve it after finding a copy on an old hard drive. While I stopped making games for several years after creating OMA I regained interest shortly after finding OMA again. Looking back I had no idea how much this would drastically change my future. While I started by continuing to use GameMaker I ended up looking for bigger engines, first with Unity, and then later trying Unreal and almost immediately falling in love. Since then I decided to pursue game development as my career because I realized I have a passion learning and creating. With my interest for games and love of programming, being a game developer was the obvious choice. I realized all of this in early 2017 and I believe in the following few years I learned more than all my previous knowledge. I say all of this to explain why I have and will always will keep Old Man Adventures public. It reminds me of where I started.
Notes:
FYI: As a kit at the time I apparently did not know about using "WASD" so instead it uses the arrow keys!
