surgeons wouldn't let you do that. instead, aiko could have ended her own life so that her heart would become available. she also could have concealed it being intentional so miyuko wouldn't feel guilty.
when all hope is lost, aiko asks to see her friend miyuko a last time, but instead is rushed to the operating room for a second transplant. then she finds out her new heart was miyuko's.
