What do you think?

First off, it's not a puzzle game even if you think it is. There are no real puzzles. Sure the "idea" is confusing as fuck because your game is "masquerading" as shit. And I'm not being ignorant in any way. I played the game, I read the description, and I read the comments. I don't even come on here that often, so I wouldn't say that I'm a part of the community that much. Also, how am I ignorant when you're the one who says the whole community puts style over substance, both of which you lack. The idea behind your game is actually great, but the implementation fell flat on it's face. To me, it didn't feel like I was dying pointlessly because of war tactics at the time, it felt like I was dying because a 5 year old made a bad game. And don't say that what you did is a "style" because it's not. It's called not wanting to do more work and create good sprites or working animations. For instance, my game I'm developing is 8-bit. That is a style. While I can see how you could think what you made is like dadaism you just poorly cut out people, places, or objects from photographs. Also, every single soldier has the same sprite? And the soldiers are your allies, but also kill you? I mean wtf. Overall, awesome idea, shit execution.

If it was any other game "just bad" would be a horrible review. But after playing your game, I have to agree with him. I couldn't find a single good thing about the game. It looks like a five year old made it in scratch --> http://scratch.mit.edu/. The game plays like shit, the game runs like shit, the game looks like shit, hence the game is shit. And instead of saying that, he was nice enough to say the game is just bad. Do you think there is anything good in this "game"? When I played it I felt like a frozen 6'10" statue walking around in a dark closet with a bb gun trying to dodge another 6'10" statue who also had a bb gun. And yes you are disgracing indie devs, no indie dev should ever reply like that to a person who was just trying to provide helpful feedback. Also, I have seen artists get angry before but at least they make art and not pieces of shit that I wouldn't even consider worth downloading. And you think his review is worse than useless? Your whole game is worse than useless to this website so you might as well take it off and either get a better attitude and try harder or give up dreams of creating video games.

No need to be mean to Parker, he was just trying to be helpful. He doesn't have to say why it's bad, it just sucks that is your fault, not his. He wasn't condescending in any way, he was even nice enough to give the shit game a 2. YOU were the one being condescending. And you should give two shits about what he thinks because whether you like it or not, he is your audience, and even if your game is the best game in the world, if your audience hates it then it doesn't matter. And I'm glad to see a dev doesn't give "two flying shits" about his audience. So, fuck you for disgracing indie devs like myself and here is the one that you wanted from blevins.

I like the games idea but....it's just bad. It was hard for me to get the objective of the game and where to go, what to do. I'll give a 2 to be nice.

I liked the consept... Even though it was a very bad game... But I'll give it credit for being WW1 and not WW2. I think WW1 deserves more attention..
''The Great War'' was one of the things that had huge impact on the world..
I'll give it 2 though..

A simple puzzle game masquerading as a nigh-impossible war game.

Done!

The game is done, for now, at least. At it’s most basic it’s a puzzle game hiding inside an impossible war game. At the idea/moral level, it’s an anti-war war game.

It’s a light effort that still took more time to make than it should have.
