The Best scary horror game ever! the ending was Amazing!
A very gameboy-esque game with horrific themes. If this was on cartridge, I would buy it immediately! A very fun, addicting game that if expanded would be hours of fun. I really had a good time with this game. It gave me a sense of nostalgia, but with a horror twist making the experience fresh but familiar. A very well done, this is great!

This was fun. It's really excellent for a first game and I appreciate the time and energy put into it. There are a lot of good things here. Overall the graphics sound and controls are great.
I do have a few notes since you asked for constructive criticism :)
-The only problem I had with the controls was the holding one button down while pressing another. Unless I misunderstood and played the whole thing wrong (always a possibility) I found it really awkward, especially when trying to hit something as many times as I could. Twice I hit the windows key while trying to attack which didn't help me out much too.
-the difficulty is pretty well balanced even though I had to start over a couple times. I wouldn't have minded so much if I had known ahead of time it was permadeath. but it was a good enough game for me to start over so I could finish.
-I had a small issue with the movable blocks. I got them stuck a couple times even though it looked like I should still be able to move them. Not really a big issue but it would have been frustrating if it were a much longer game with many more puzzles. Might have helped if the blocks were just a smidge smaller (like even a pixel or two) just to have a little wiggle room.

Play as Arianna, a woman lost in a giant building, and escape the terror in this Gameboy Color inspired Survival Horror nightmare! Overlooker is a top down 2D game combining elements from action and horror genres. Use a melee weapon or firearms to fight monsters, read documents and examine the area around you to learn about the game's cryptic backstory, and find keys and items that enable you to progress deeper into the abyss.
Overlooker is my first game and was completed in under 22 days. My main goal has been to keep the game as minimal as possible and learn as much as I can about game development.
