What do you think?

Pretty good game. LIked the two powerups.

I create this last year for a university assessment where I was asigned to create a balanced rule system for a game along with a practical element to test and show the results were as intended.

I did mine on a shmup where it would regulate the powerup drops and difficult of each enemy wave based on how well the player was doingat the time.

After I had planned out the system I become mildly overzealous with the practical element, created the entire game within two weeks, and received some great marks for the work.

INSTRUCTIONS

ENEMIES

Scout (1 Point)

Basic unit that is plentiful, but weak and does not shoot.

Striker (5 Points)

Will shoot forward at a slow rate.

Assault (10 Points)

Shoots in a four bullet spread shot,

but not in front of them.

Precision (20 Points)

Aims powerful bullets directly at the player,

each shot reducing their own health.

Charge (5 Points)

Attacks the player from the side,

moving horizontally across the screen.

SCORING

You gain points per second equal to your MULTIPLIER.

You can only gained points while in the SCORE ZONE.

MULTIPLIER is gain from destroying enemies.

MULTIPLIER is lost when taking damage.

The higher your Multiplier the smaller the SCORE ZONE.

The Higher you POWER and CONTROL the further forward the SCORE ZONE

POWERUPS

POWER and CONTROL are the two stats that you need to maintain.

POWER improves the damage of each bullet and the spread of each attack.

CONTROL improves maneuverability and increases movement speed.

POWER and CONTROL will decrease over time.

ENEMIES can drop a POWERUP when destroyed.

The main two POWERUPS will increase your POWER and CONTROL.

High POWER and CONTROL increase chance of TRAP drop.

Traps will explode on touch or at random and release 4 bullets.
