There lacks some history. Presentable Liberty showed us you can make a very interesting story just by showing short texts one after another. Also there is a list of things I would change:

First levels should be more "Tutorialtic". Here I see two thousand different objects and I don't have an idea, what each of them does. What are those flying orbs around me? At first they looked like enemy missiles.
What is the difference between two types of bombs? How can mines be destroyed (if they can) etc. Too much at once in the first level.

I couldn't pass the second part of the tutorial because of a wall of mines at the end. I kept crashing even with shield.

The game is little too difficult at the beginning. Only at lowest difficulty it was possible. And the dinosaur too easy. Especially when you bought self-guided missiles.

I noticed the robot on 5th level. Who is he, why does he want to kill you? Where is his lifebar? So many unsolved mysteries. How can I destroy it?
Enemies can't just jump at you in every possible moment. You need to be prepared, or at least know the direction.

Some bar for gun overheat would help.

I see you put a lot of work into it. Too much I think. This looks like an AAA game of a big studio, therefore slowly loses it's indiesness. I can't believe you did everything alone. I can't even see all of this because of my weak graphics card. Every bullet has it's own light source, right? Or you make use of new physically based shaders?

Basically the game offers two types of missiles: bullets and rockets. There are many other possibilities like lightning bolts, lasers, shock waves. Why not add them too instead of 50 types of missiles of which you only can use one at a time?

To sum up, add a story for it and make beginning levels slower. The graphics are far too much, which makes it difficult after some time to see what is a bullet and what enemy. Ubiquitous light sources are too much for my computer.

Since I don't play any AAA games, others might have more accurate word in a view of this game's target audience, whom we at this website surely are not :)

Good, but let there be an all-time save so you can save with no account.

Please visit Pythetron.com and support my Kickstarter campaign!

Pythetron is a 2.5d speed shmup (shoot'em up). The focus of the game is to earn points and unlock levels allowing you to navigate the galaxy in a non-linear manner. Along the way you'll collect lots of coins that you can spend on the many many upgrade options to turn your ship from a pea shooter to a machine of total destruction!

This game has been in development for 18 months. As is, it offers potentially several hours of entertainment, but I plan on adding much more.

But first, I need feedback! I am the only person working on this game. I'm the artist, programmer and designer. Without feedback from players the game's appeal will likely start and stop with just mylsef.

Please give me feedback on my forum, my email, any of my social media sites, or right here. I will listen to, and likely take action, on every request or comment.
