...Where is the download?
[Beta 1.6 - I haven't worked on it for a while, but will probably improve it in future]
An interesting arcade-style game that I made when I was first learning to use Java. It's not the best optimized, and I have yet to finish the graphics side of it, but at its heart, it's a fun game! It should be noted that it was designed for two players to play on one computer, but incase you have nobody to play with, I did make a basic 1-player AI (Which I've been working on improving).
It also features a level editor, as well as the ability to save the game you are playing.
Controls
For player 1, WASD to move, space to fire.
For player 2, use the arrow keys to move, and enter to fire.
The aim of the game is to dodge the bullets, and outlast your opponent.
The menus are operated with buttons and sliders, and escape is used to pause the game (or if it's already paused, to end it).
One final note - This game will create small, harmless files on your computer. If you feel the urge to delete them, they are stored in C:/users/.../AppData/roaming/Superdavo. It will not harm the game to remove them, but it will remove the custom levels.
Anyways, the game can be downloaded from my blog, or this site. After that, enjoy!
Performance Requirements
If it uses a silicon chip, and runs Java's JRE 7, it'll be fine. You can download the JRE from https://www.java.com/en/download/chrome.jsp?locale=en Just for goodness sake uncheck the option to install the toolbar, or whatever else you didn't ask for!!!
