What do you think?

Its a good concept but needs a bit of work.

Most of this you probably either know or already heard but I'm including my analysis of the game.

  1. Don't get me wrong, this isn't much of a problem, but the note timing when generated is off an needs a bit of tweaking. (This is a very common problem in most rhythm games that generate there music so once again not the biggest of issues. But if you manage to fix it, that would amaze me.)

  2. Hit registration is off when hitting multiple note. I am still looking into it but it seems like it lags when more than two notes are being played.

  3. Lots of my songs, when I load them, don't play while the game is running which limits me to only a few.

And also some suggestions(This is my ocd talking)...

  1. Perhaps is a checkbox for hit sounds because some people find that feedback nice.

  2. Main menu music is a bit repetitive and cuts straight in. Anyway you can make it fade in or different themes?

  3. Little work on the lighting and materials which I'm sure you probably have one your plate of updates.

Its got some potential and I'm gonna keep it on my watch list. Keep up the good work Sean. ;)

P.S. What engine are you using. Curiosity is curios.

Game is fantastic for what it is. I would love to see this worked on a lot. tons of potential with adding your own music and stuff. Also maybe in the future be able to customize which keys you use. My brain gets mixed up when I have to hit the yellow :P Great game though.

Having fun with this game! I like how you can have your own custom soundtrack so you can play any song you want! Which is really cool~
A suggestion would be to maybe add more stage rooms, maybe unlockable if you get a lot of good scoring? That way it doesn't always look like you're in the same place, or have it where not only can you have your songlist folder, but maybe songlists players can set to be an unlockable if they do well in the game? Otherwise the game is fun for what it is, I'm certainly having a blast with it~

Very very solid concept. Songs play great (although they can be a bit TOO much of a challenge) and they sync very well. I do, however, have a couple problems. The Xbox controls were clunky and didn't make sense, but the keyboard controls were relatively ok. Some songs were just not working. I had first assumed this to be a bug with the Hard and Extreme difficulties, but it turns out the songs weren't loading properly. Difficulty settings work nice and they do have a noticable change in gameplay, yet the Extreme mode can be confusing and a bit frantic. I also noticed that missing notes or hitting the wrong key does not take off points, or even reset your combo meter. The flame effects when you hit a note don't stay on the fret board, they float off into space when the camera moves. The keyboard controls work nice, but I feel like it would be better with backspace being the strum bar, and you holding your keyboard in the air like a guitar (like this - http://imgur.com/QA7oWu8) Other than that, you've got a really good rhythm-based game. It's fun, it looks pretty good, and it definately has replayability. For now, 3/5. There's a lot of potential here.

ok this game looks like a game for mobile called "beat craft" its the same thing but you can use youtube videos and mp3s, good job tho!
