I very love your game , it's very original ! <3

Really neat, challenging concept! I included it in my video series of the GM(48) entries :) https://youtu.be/FeG09Ws19_o

Pretty neat time-waster game, could see this doing pretty well on phones.

I got horrible flashbacks to losing myself to Bit.Trip Beat. For some reason, it didn't click for me that I should continue tapping to alter the direction. When it did, I had a great run. Though, I feel it's probably impossible to dodge those sine-waves when it ramps up. I was quite surprised how effective a one button design could be.

ripesc is an addictive rhythm game with an unorthodox control scheme and dynamically changing music.
Avoid enemies, catch slowdowns. The more you move, the more points you get.
It's that simple.

...

Is it, though?

The tempo increases every beat, so after a while, you might suddenly find yourself hitting keys at a rapid rate.

The question is - how long can you stay focused?

Includes cool online leaderboards and a ton of trophies.

Originally created in 48 hours as an entry for the 17th gm(48).

Inspired by BIT.TRIP.RUNNER.

Controls:

  • Moving - mouse buttons / keyboard keys (seriously, every key/button does the same thing - alters your direction)

  • Validating selections - enter / left + right mouse button

  • You can exit your run at any time by hitting the escape key or the middle mouse button (well, ok, that's an exception...)

The game also supports XInput controllers.

rmb - Right mouse button
lmb - Left mouse button
mmb - Middle mouse button
