What do you think?

Cool game!

While the game is challenging, I wouldn't call it particularly good.

Keyboard controls need an alias key, as you can't press Up+Right+Space at once on a lot of PS/2 (non-USB) keyboards.
Gamepad controls do work well though. They also give a clean advantage of allowing to walk slowly, if needed.

As far as game mechanics go, jumping downwards (even if it's to change wall on the corner) is a slightly problematic part. Another is what happens if you don't hold a horizontal direction key while running up to the walls edge: http://i.imgur.com/xuQmS6y.gif

On the actual game, it (fortunately) relies primarily on skill, but, unfortunately, also on chance - in some cases game will spawn patterns of eyes that it is not possible to sneak by, and no power-ups nearby, suggesting that, to some extent, score potential can be predetermined not in player's favour.

Though, I suppose, this wasn't really intended to be a large or super-fair game in first place. Will rather not rate.

Much like the name itself, Salt and Pepper has a mix of different play styles. From a slow sneak to a rushed race, you always have to be on your toes. Because the eyes are watching you. They will see you. And than, the shadows will be your downfall.

this is great ! good job

Trapped in an old TV set, a poor cat must climb its way to victory! Help her ascend to the summit of this ever-changing tower while avoiding watchful eyes and her own traitorous shadows. If the apparitions get too close, collect a special powerup to eat them and bring color back into the world. Do your best to collect coins along the way and set a record in the high score tables!

Supports either mouse and keyboard or a gamepad!

  • Move: WASD, arrow keys, or left stick.

  • Jump: Space or A button.

  • Pause: Escape or start button.

Update!

I’ve updated Salt and Pepper. It’s playable in browser again and loads much faster, to boot! I also added some neat Twitter and Twitch integration. I hope you enjoy!
