WHOA. These are some BADASS lookin' graphics you' ve got there. Looks really retro and it oddly reminds me of Duke Nukem 3D ! However, I cannot play it, since I am at Mac. If you could make a Mac port, then great ! If you can' t, well, okay. I will at least support it.

9/1/14 Update: Added two new complete weapons. also:
fixed a few bugs;
made the shield deploy and retract faster;
made reloading easier and more forgiving, clip won't disappear when you let go away from the ammo bar;
added a tutorial segment that explains how to swap weapons.

An on rails arcade style mouse and keyboard controlled shooting game with a futuristic setting, Featuring computer generated animated sprites and backgrounds rendered in Maxon Cinema 4D, with a classic mid 90s CD ROM game visual style.
Story is still a work in progress, but will involve a weapons corporation who builds various military androids and drones. You play as a former human turned cyborg by the same corporate industry, who is on a mission ,of unknown motive, taking place at the down town corporate headquarters. The sky scraper is deserted of any humans, but occupied by an army of hostile war robots.
The very first Game Maker Studio project I started. It has been in development since february 2013. This is a very short demo taking place in what will be the first area of the first level of the game, plus an optional tutorial segment.
Controls
Use the MOUSE to aim/move cursor ;
LEFT CLICK to:
fire,
pick up items,
select weapon,
drag and drop magazine into ammo bar to reload,
RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON over items to pick them up;
SPACE BAR to deploy/retract the shield once collected;
P Key to pause the game;
Weapons
Scarlet Magnum:
Powerfull and accurate.
Slow fire rate and low magazine capacity.
HOT MAG bonus: (Yellow) a few seconds of free ammo.
Assault SMG:
Rapid fire and high magazine capacity.
Low damage and weapon kick reduces accuracy.
HOT MAG bonus: (Red) a few seconds of tripple damage.
Burst Rifle:
High rate of fire and decent accuracy
High capacity, but burns through ammo quickly, low damage
HOT MAG bonus: (orange) higher burst rate, accuracy recovers quicker
Alternate fire: Hold the fire button down to fire six round burst; tap button to fire four round burst
Shotgun:
High damage and can hit multiple widespread targets
Very low and inconsistent accuracy,
Very low fire rate and capacity, pump action between shots, slow reload
HOT MAG bonus: (indigo) allows for faster pump action, increasing fire rate.
Alternate fire: hold the fire button for a wide spread shot, tap button for a tight cluster.
Enemies
Light Sentinel:
The most common enemy in the game. They can pop out of cover from multiple directions or walk across the screen. they are usually slow to attack and will make a lot of noise. It takes a fiew hits to take out.
Light Shield Sentinel:
A walking Sentinel equipped with a full body shield. The shield CAN be destroyed, but it takes twice as much damage as the Sentinel it's self.
Arial Drone:
A large, quick flying enemie with weak armor. It takes only a single shot from the weakest weapons to destroy. They usually attack in swarms.
Heavy Sentinel: Coming soon. (it's the enemy you see in the pause screen and main menu)
Scuttler Drone: Coming soon.
Grappling Mech: Coming soon.
Various unnamed enemies: Coming soon.
Tips
Play in full screen mode (Alt + Enter);
Aim for the head for maximum damage;
Aim for the arms/legs to stunt enemy attacks;
Allow the reload animation to finish after dropping the magazine icon to activate "HOT MAG";
Shoot Shield Sentinels in the arm and legs. If you can kill them without destroying the shield, you can collect their shield.
When the shield is deployed:
You take no damage;
You can NOT shoot;
Reloading takes longer;
You can NOT activate HOT MAG;
Your shield can take 10 hits before it is destroyed;
You are vulnerable during the first fiew frames of the shield animation;
During "HOT MAG", the Assault SMG's shots do the same amount of damage as the Scarlet Magnum;
Deploy the shield to stall the transition to the next screen, use this opportunity to reload your weapons;
Fire the Assault SMG in short bursts to reduce kick back and conserve ammo. Use this technique when dealing with multiple weak enemies, like arial drones;
Enemies can NOT shoot through cover or each other.
