I dunno, is this Somari 2?
No offense, but I was kinda expecting it to be based on Sonic 2. Also, I don't quite get why Somari's appearance has been altered. Otherwise, this game plays well, I just feel that it doesn't really have much to do with Somari.
I honestly thought this game was really fun. You took a janky formula and gave it a unique twist. I think that's something you can rely on in a sequel. It has it's own jank but I had a lot of fun! Really wish there was more to it. It feels very unfinished after cheese valley.
Honestly i think the Kevvviiinnn music is getting overused nowadays :I
Somari 2 is a copyright-free (as much as possible) sequel to a certain bootleg Sonic clone many may know.
I started this project in 2013, and then I canceled it after about a year of slacking and lack of motivation and not willing to deal with drawing more levels. In February 2014, I basically replaced it with Dynamite Alex, but as I kept revisiting what I made of Somari 2, I felt like even though the enemy collisions are just a mess and impossible for me to fix, I actually really enjoyed the levels that I created, and every time I played through these, I increasingly felt....actually a bit saddened that I've kept the levels to myself all this time (I don't normally cancel games that I've made significant progress in). So here's what I finished of the game as a full title, complete with five levels, a boss, and a brand-new little ending sequence.
