Nobody wants to work on this game to complete it. Why can't the developer complete it? It's the game we all want, but we might never get it. Don't ask me, I don't know how to make a game.

for some reason when i download the game it also installs chromeuim how do i get rid of it?

In 1996 Sega was supposed to release a game alongside Nintendos' Super Mario 64 for their then current system the Sega Saturn. Sonic X-treme was well in development but canned due to being behind schedule. Over the years much of the games content has been leaked onto the internet. After studying this game and watching all of the available videos on Youtube for it, I had came up with a way to recreate it. In 2010 I started my attempt to recreate the game and this is my fan game prototype. As of 10-7-2015 it has been released as OPEN SOURCE. Please do not ask me to update this game as I have stopped working on it and now it is released to the public so the public can update it as they choose.

About the different releases:
This game was made with Game Maker Pro version 8.1
In the first download option
I have included the .exe so you can play the game in it's final state. I have also included the .gm81 source file, so anybody who wants to finish this game can do so. I ask that you please give credit to Jeffrey Bones Productions.
In the second download option I have included the .gm81 source file, the .exe and an older .gmk file for Game Maker 8 (this is in case you don't have GM 8.1)
In the third download option the only thing included is the game. This is for people who just want to play the game and are not interested in editing it.
When playing the game pressing "M" will take you back to the main menu.
Please note hat pressing "M" while in the Crystal Frost stage causes a black screen and snow glitch.

There are also additional test rooms included in the .gmk
Almost all of the sprites from the real Sonic Xtreme are included in the .gmk so it will be real easy to set up authentic baddies. You just have to look for the sprites and they are unorganized so have fun with that! The purpose of open sourcing the project was I didn't want it to go to waste, I really hope somebody picks this up and finishes it. Enjoy!
