(No hate to the creator.) This game has a lot of potential. But the physics are REALLY bad, Sonic either gains no speed at all or loses too much speed going up and down slopes. And, when he does gain speed, it’s too much and doesn't even carry over to his jump. The best way I can describe it is if on release Frontiers Sonic was in SBTS; Sonic carries almost NONE of his momentum when you jump, even if you’re going at high speeds. It’s such a shame, this project fixes some of my biggest problems with the original game and SBTS Reprised. It gets rid of roll lock and adds the drop dash, two things that if added I would normally say “I can’t see myself going back to the original!” but because the physics are so bad, I can’t enjoy the additions as much as I want.
The game is great, it just needs to fix the physics and we’re golden.

Welcome! I'm happy to introduce you to Sonic BTS Redux - an attempt to remake the beloved fangame from the ground up, with improve physics and new features.
This is what you'll find in this demo:
-A full remake of the first zone, Hilltop Heights Zone
-Completely redone graphics
-Original animated cutscenes restored as FMVs
-Much more responsive physics, more akin to Sonic Mania
-An air curl ability, like in ATS DX or Triple Trouble 16-bit
-Toggleable Drop Dash, Peel Out, Peel Dash and rotation modes
-Full XInput support
-Several improvements and bug fixes not present in the SAGE '23 demo
