i haven't tried the game yet because when i open a game like this, it always ask me "Where do you want to open this app on", if you don't know what i mean, it shows a menu with the selections of Microsoft, Adobe, Internet Explore or i could look for apps to open this game in the Microsoft store, all i'm asking is where do i open the game, do i open this game on Microsoft, Internet Explore, or Adobe? or is there some other app on windows i'm supposed to open it on?
Can you please port this game to android
I'm not sure which engine you're using, if it's your own or one of the others but it's very solid. I'm really impressed with how well Sonic controls. I felt like I was in control of Sonic the entire time and that he wasn't just flying off in a random direction when boosting.
The concept is pretty cool too. It's fun looking for the gems but honestly, it's fun to just run around the level too.
My two gripes are that
A. You can't skip the tutorial even if you've been through it
B. You can't adjust the camera to have the X axis inverted. I'm one of the weirdos that likes it backwards and it's hard for me to play the other way.
Neither of those ruined the experience though. I think you got something really great here. Keep it up
Very annoying bug, when a I boot the game, it turns on steam vr for no reason.
[[ v.1.2.0 changes ]]
updated HUD
reduced turning sensitivity (when not boosting)
[[ v.1.1.1 changes ]]
- reduced speed when doing Boost (4275). Is now 1.5x normal running speed
[[ v.1.1.0 changes ]]
- increased speed when doing Boost (4500)
- improved turning while Boosting (w/ controller)
A new take on 3D Sonic!
Why "Explorers?"
It's 2-fold! One was to explore a new concept for a Sonic game.
The other was to make a large world for players to explore the alternate paths and find everything hidden throughout the world. I thought that'd be a lot of fun. Drew some inspiration from Sonic Utopia's open-ness and wanted to compliment it with a core gameplay goal (collect all the gems in time)
What is this gameplay concept, exactly?
I wanted to make a 3D sonic game that wasn't so "linear". In many modern games, you can just "boost 2 win" which doesn't really take much skill. It's just a lot of running straight, which is fun for a while, sure. But I thought "if the player has to turn and avoid obstacles, then that'd be a lot more fun w/ more replayability."
Also, making "traditional" levels for Sonic is reeeallly tough. They have to be these HUGE levels that players whizz by really fast. So you spend hours crafting levels and assets and stuff that most players barely see since they run thru so fast, lol. I thought, "it'd be great to make 'playgrounds' where the player is tasked with doing many trips around it. Then this way, you can carefully craft interesting challenges that the player will spend a lot more time on. I think it lends itself overall to more enjoyable and more varied level design
NOTE: THIS IS A "PROTOTYPE DEMO" AND IS STILL UNDER DEVELOPMENT. EXPECT A FEW BUGS
