What is SSBSNES?
"SSBSNES" is a Demake of Super Smash Bros adapted to the limitations of the SNES / Super Nintendo console.
Simplified Smash gameplay adapted to a simple SNES controller.
Not focused on the competitive, but on a fun and experimental concept.
Why do we Changed Everything?
Because the Developer of the Game, Luigi, Wanted to go with a better performance. Replacing stages, Adding Captain Falcon instead of Megaman, And With The Old Logo!
When will it be available?
Sooner than you think, the game is planned to be released in different demos from time to time until it reaches its final development phase.
In this way, we can take into consideration suggestions, bug reports and ideas as feedback.
We also have our own games that we are finishing, so we have enough time to work on both projects.
What content will there be?
All content is based entirely on the 16-bit era, there will only be game references from the 1990 period.
Characters, stages and game modes will be revealed as the demos are announced through our official networks (https://twitter.com/SmashBrosSNES/media).
Who we are?
Since December 26, 2013 we are a small independent group that creates video games as a hobby. We learn and improve over time!
You can see our first games (mostly amateur and inexperienced) to the most recent and important in our GameJolt profile:

If you find something of your interest, enjoy it!
Is this real? Will we cancel the game?
Unlike other smash bros fangames (that were canceled) on the GameJolt platform, we are a real team with the intention of offering the Smash community (and video games in general) a fangame based on a retro concept.
We do not intend to cancel this project that has been in the planning for many years.
The concept of this game started in 2018 thanks to a popular video of the time.

In 2017 that concept was taken up again to seriously plan it.
But it was not until some time ago that it was decided to start its development in a way that was faithful to the limitations of a SNES game.
This project does not present any competition or danger for Nintendo, so we doubt that they will pronounce on the matter.
It's a free non-profit game, a fan game for fans.
