This is pretty interesting.
I gave it a 4/5, and here's why:
Sprite animations update properly and don't bug out too much (I've only seen one bug, and it's related to running while holding both keys).
Weapon was pretty cool, and has a balanced amount of damage.
Enemies variety fit the first stage properly.
It's pretty smooth, and the controls work really smoothly.
Interesting gravity mechanic.
Sound effects work properly.
Had a slide move (Which matters a lot to me in Megaman styled games).
Here's why I didn't give it a 5/5:
Tiles weren't very varied. It was just straight up black.
Level was very short, even for a demo (Technically, this should've been referred to as a tech demo, even if it's Megaman with some new changes.)
So, all in all it was pretty good!

Max is part of a band with his friends Doug and Brandon. Max is an extreme guitarist along with a singer. Doug usually plays percussion, but sometimes not. Brandon is a really good dancer. When they go on performances, people are screaming for him! One particular day they played at a special club. There were a lot of people, dancing, singing along, and just hangin' out. When all the sudden, BOOM! A HUGE explosion comes out up on stage and creates a portal to an unknown location. Someone unknown comes out and pulls Max into it. Max is facing many challenges in trying to fin his way back to his main dimension.
