Big update from the original, Fun game with good level design
Graphics could use some work, but overall fun game!
You did a great job buddy.
Graphics could be better for the kid, but in general is acceptable.
Gameplay has a lot of challenge every level, i love that.
And has a lot of original ideas for platforms.

Was this baces on anything in reality?
A complete Godot-powered grounds-up remake/remaster with brand new, more efficient code, new improved visuals, new revamped levels, and more has been in the works since early May (2024), and I should have it completed sometime before the end of the year.

Super Obstacle Adventure is a freeware 2D side-scrolling platformer game inspired by those of the '90s. It's a reworked version of a game that I made when I was 15. It centers around obstacles as opposed to enemies.
There are a total of 6 worlds in the game, including a snow forest, a construction site, and even a weird abstract world.
You have a choice of 3 playable characters from the start. Mars is the most balanced, while Skull runs fast, but doesn't jump as high. Swirly is light and can jump high, but she's not very fast.
Once you complete all of the levels, you can buy a fourth playable character at Chuck's store. He runs really, really fast, jumps really, really high, and is nearly invincible. He's a really fun character to play as if you love cheating.

Here's the devlog for the upcoming free & open-source Godot remake/remaster: https://gamejolt.com/games/open-source-obstacle-adventure/902149 As a full remaster and not just a simple port, it's around 60% complete or so. 
Update: The port has turned into a full remaster. It's been in development for two months, and it's going great! More information at a later date.
