Pretty cool. I really like the overall style of it, and the hero's big head and their facial expression when they swing their sword are super sweet. I think, though you should watch this video:

The video explains some important level design tips by example, one of which I thought your game could really benefit from. It's "show don't tell". When I read the sign that said "some doors have switches" or something, that was really the last straw. The signs slow down the pace of the level; they put a full stop on the action. Almost all the signs in your game were useless, especially considering how good a job you did of providing controller diagrams for the player. I can't stop reading the signs and just play the game, though, because of the risk: what if one of the signs says something really important, that will block me if I don't know it?
If you place too many signs, they distract the player! - Bob the Explorer
So after a while I stopped playing your game because the hero walks too slowly and the signs are too many. I will totally play the next game you make, though, because you made a really good impression on my with your visuals!
Cool! There are some issues such as getting stuck on ladders, floors, and doorways but overall it's great metroidvania
This game has two endings but I only got one ending
Aside from a few hangups (like being stuck on ladders or platforms) it's a rather interesting throwback to the old school Gameboy, and pretty fun. I'm only in the first few levels, but I seem to like it already.
I played your game for hours! and found a bug. When I got the third key, the only exit from that place is a small chain-ladder. When you try to go up to the other level, you spawn in the air and fall down again. I saved my progress on the statue next to the two-keys gate, so I i'm stuck here. So sad cause I like to finish the game. I have to play all again and avoid to save progress here. I don't know if I die I loss the third key.
When a disciple of one of the two great fencing schools uses a terrible, cursed weapon -the Sword of Blizzards- to destroy his rival school and kill nearly everyone inside, only a survivor of the attack can find the only weapon comparable in power to that of his enemy: The Sword of Storms.
Will you avenge all of which you have lost? Will you find that ultimate power?
Find out in this retro-looking metroidvania.
