What do you think?

At first I was all sad cos I kept losing… But then I was like,
/oh./

NOPE. NOPE. NOPE. NOPE. NOPE. NOPE.

I was sad when I couldn't save any of them.
The I realized I couldn't.
That is just messed up, bro.

Good game though.

its impossible to do on any of the levels, all it did was piss me off!!!

This is an interesting experiment! But ultimately I think it failed. The implementation of the mechanics is pretty clumsy, so I didn't even have any hope at all that I could do any good. I think the feeling you're going for would work better if the player could progress more first before eventually failing.

In addition, the feeling of the interaction doesn't seem very sincere. It's too easy to be funny moving the characters around. Because of that, it ruins the joke at the end. I don't care enough about the experience to laugh, but I wish I did, the ending would have more impact that way.

Elegy for the Dead

Hey! Thanks for stopping by my game! This is my very first Ludum Dare submission, and probably not the last! Let me tell you some more about the concept behind the game.

So first off the theme was "beneath the surface". I wanted to work on the fact that the dead are beneath the surface, and give the player the feeling of imminent death etcaetera. This slowly evolved into some sort of digital Vanitas (that's a certain type of work of art, often a still-life, very codified and always about how life is finite). There are a lot of flaws to this game, which I might or might not iron out one day.

Do tell me about what you think of it!

Thanks for playing
