Just finished the game, super smooth, great great atmosphere!
The boss felt a bit easy but it was still great.
There was some fancy stuff (bubbles, fading effects in new zones) but the game still feels really gameboy while super appealing visually!

Loved everything about this! And it might sound odd but I think my favourite part was the way the areas became visible - very cool transition.
