This game has such a great sense of humor, and it's very challenging! I always have a fun time playing it. And the devs are a hundred kinds of awesome!
This thing for 4.99 Dollars? Quits
It costs 4.99? stop the planet, I will step off
I don't know if the first comment just didn't like the graphics or the or isn't fond of shoot-em-ups, but be sure that if you're into arcade shooters then this game is most certainly worth $4.99. I'm not a big fan of the genre, but these guys let me try out the game and it's made me question my original bias.
The game is fun, and has a solid ideology for mechanics in game design. Mechanics you discover during the early levels of the game get twisted and re-introduced in new ways in later levels. Something as simple as realizing you can bounce shots off of walls suddenly becomes your primary strategy for a level later on, for example. The background art has a direct effect on how the level plays out in most instances, and overall the team wasn't afraid to experiment.
But best of all, they had all levels of gamers in mind for this iteration. There's a beginner level for those of us new to the genre, and it's fun yet still challenging.
If you would like to see a video that talks about this, I have a let's play of it (and if the devs would rather not have video comments please say so, and I'll gladly remove mine!): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZwhVrP8phI

If you're in the mood for good Christmas music and love old arcade shoot-em-ups, this game has a lot of fun humor and solid gameplay. I'm glad I was able to play!
Get into the Christmas spirit with the world’s biggest goblin in a blast from the past, 2D arcade shoot 'em up. Fight evil pet pinetrees from Siberia. Air-battle on a deadly pooping Rudolf. Float around in space and much much more crazy stuff.
Play through the whole adventure locally with a friend
Unique weapons and power-ups (like shots that grow and shrink)
The Giant Goblin will comment on if he thinks you control him well or badly
Shoot an innocent bird just because you are a jerk
Don’t forget the deadly pooping reindeer
The Night Christmas Ended is part of a great 2D arcade shoot 'em up tradition that goes back to the 80’s. With respect for the traditions, the game adds new twists and turns to the familiar formula. The Night Christmas Ended aims to please veteran gamers of the genre, at the same time it also welcomes new gamers by making it easy to pick up and play.
So team up with the world’s biggest goblin on his quest for gold and be a total Christmas bastard.
NOTE: There's an old free beta version of the game lying around here somewhere. A Goblin's Xmas Tale, which we made last year and based this game on, after learning from our experiences. We encourage you to forget about the beta and buy this finalized version of the game instead. There's a ton of stuff added since, like enemies and bosses, weapon upgrades, and entire game worlds. Besides you getting new content, bug fixes and features, buying it would simply make us happy =)
