This was great! A lovely crisp vector style and a nice take on the mythology at hand.
I hope you get to continue the story!
I am totally lost on how you're supposed to get the seeds. Someone please rescue me!
I like the art style and the concept. Just two suggestions:
1) Maybe it needs some better indications of where you can move (ex. the bottom roads in front of the tower with the well and bird egg don't lead anywhere, or at least I couldn't follow them)
2)Not always clear what you can interact with. Think about your difficulty level, it may be that you want the player to do a lot of guess work (lots of point and clicks do that) or you can put in some system that nudges the player in the right direction (interactive elements are highlighted or some objective system for example)
Just my 2 cents, nice game so far.
So far I really like this game. Got stuck at trying to get seeds, and I encountered a small bug with the inventory, when I tried to swap the glass of water for the tea leaves that rendered the glass unusable. Otherwise I really like the concept behind this game. It actually feels like trying to learn a new language.
This is beautiful, sort of an update on the old Atari game Adventure in terms of monochromatic characters. Very cool!
This is an #adventureJam game!
The game is based on the story of the Tower of Babel.
The game is not finished. I did fix some stuff, so now it's at least playable from beginning to end. (I guess it disqualifies the game, but It wasn't playable before anyway, and I worked really hard on it and wanted people to see it, even though I didn't manage to finish it on time).
I didn't have time for a tutorial, so:
click on stuff to interact.
you can pass more quickly between screens by double-clicking on the edge of the screen (if an arrow doesn't appear at the edge of the screen on hover, it means you can't go there).
the colorful button is your dictionary, the words you collect will show there.
the brown button next to it is the inventory.
