Too Fly to Be(e) a Frog!

General Information:

Your goal is to eat as many flies as possible before you run out of time. When the time is over all remaining flies are attacking you. But you can't just eat anything that flies above your head because there are some bees which you shouldn't eat! Every round there are more bees and flies but your playing time shrinks with every new round.

Numbers:

• You gain one HP for every fly you hit

• There are 60 flies in the first level, this number is increased by five per level

• Every fly that survives the round does two damage to you

• In the first level there is one bee, this number is increased by one per level

• You lose 60 HP if you eat a bee

• You have about 30 seconds to complete the first level, this number gets reduced by two per level

• After every round you survived you will be granted one power-up

Power-ups:

There are four different types of power-ups in the game:

• A health power-up restoring 50 HP

• A speed power-up which doubles the speed of your tongue

• A length power-up which nearly doubles the maximal length of your tongue

• A width power-up which doubles the width of your tongue

Besides the permanent health power-up all power-ups last till the end of the current level. Furthermore all power-ups can only be used once per level, besides the health power-up.

Tips and Tricks:

• Your tongue goes back as soon as you hit something. If there are many flies close to one another you should try to shoot your tongue past these flies and catch them on your way back. Remember that only the tip of your tongue can grab them!

• Use your power-ups wisely! It's very situational wich power-up is the right to get the most flies. For Example: If there are many flies grouped closely and there aren't many bees around the width power-up might be perfect. But if there are many bees you should consider the tongue speed. And if there are many flies far away maybe the length power-up will be your best bet.
