Never would I ever expect someone to actually make a fan game based off the creepypasta's game. I'm going to play this tomorrow and record it, I actually played Toymaster today. Idk I just think that Toymaster isn't really a popular game and I wouldn't ever think that someone would make a remake of this game. However it looks good! Can't wait to play it!
This game is terribly broken...
It's amazing how you (probably not intended) also used the floor textures from the in-dev version of the game.
The original game had white floor instead of the black one which can be seen in the published version.
The white floor can be seen in the screenshots in the "Kenjorio" emails.
A remake of the DOS - style creepypasta game Toy Maker. This is my first game ever, and was mostly done just to get a feel for basic 3D Game Maker stuff.
This is NOT the original Toy Maker creepypasta game. The original, while creepy, was disappointingly short. I added a bunch of new levels and hidden stuff. You'll have to poke around to find everything; like false walls, hidden key commands in certain rooms, hidden doors, etc. Some things will end the game early though, so be careful!
There's no real objective other than to get as far in the game as possible before you run out of places to discover. Like in the original, there's no real story in-game - Just pure retro DOS-style atmospheric creepiness. If you search hard enough online though, you can find details of how the supposed origin of the original game does indeed have some backstory behind it. Whether or not it really happened is another story.
You can quit the game by pressing the ESC key (a luxury not present in the original game...) There are parts that are still a little "clunky," for instance there's a tendency for the player to sometimes stick to walls in narrow corridors, and there's a brief lag when music starts playing in certain areas. Still working on fixing those. Otherwise, everything's finished.
