UPPERTALE: AN UNOFFICIAL SEQUEL TO UNDERTALE!
(Warning: there are spoilers for UNDERTALE ahead! Read at your own discretion!)
Undertale: Uppertale is a fangame that acts as a sequel to the original game's true-pacifist ending. This fangame features the return of some of your favorite characters, now living on the surface, and three different endings to experience.
The story takes place a few months after the barrier between humans and monsters was destroyed, with monsterkind settling into their new homes and living in peace with humanity. It seemed as though only peaceful times were ahead!
Well, that was the case, until a certain anime-obsessed scientist achieves a major scientific breakthrough: inventing the world's first time machine. While the original intent was to just be able to re-witness history, things start to get a little more out of hand than was expected...
When the past is accidentally altered, will you be able to restore the timeline and prevent it from a terrible fate, or did your unexpected return to this world doom it to a worse ending?
This project is no longer being worked on, and hasn't been for a very long time. For those of you who are still asking me to "complete" the unfinished genocide ending or to port the game to mobile devices, while I appreciate that there's still people who want to see the game finished so many years after release, Uppertale is a product of its time and not something I think I'd ever return to.
I was 14 years old and had very little experience with making RPGs when I released Uppertale, so the quality of the game is admittedly quite poor by modern fangame standards. However, since Uppertale was one of the earliest Undertale fangames out there that attempted to be a full sequel to true-pacifist, I think it's worth keeping it available for people to look back on, even if it's a little embarrassing!
Uppertale was going to get a remake, but the remake deviated so far from the original plan that it eventually became a new game entirely. This ended up becoming DONTFORGET, the fangame project that I've been working on since 2016! The link to that project is here, if you haven't checked it out yet. It's an Undertale/Deltarune fan-project that includes both a Deltarune fangame (still in development at the time of writing), and an expansive Undertale MMORPG! If you liked Uppertale, you will absolutely love DONTFORGET.
Anyway, thanks for stopping by!
