Beautiful game that is challenging and yet not so drawn out that you think it's impossible to win. I finally defeated the Vatn and I couldn't have felt anymore satisfied than I have right now. Great game and a must play for any shooter fan.
Vatn Squid (Icelandic for water) is a short Bullet Hell Boss Rush Shmup made in a 48 hour period for the GameJolt Weekend Jam!

He set the creative theme of underwater when he showed me the Vatn sprite he was making! He also codesigned on a lot of small details in the rush!
Vatn Squid is compatible with XBox360 controllers! I personally recommend it if you have one, its a blast!
Controls
Arows - Move
Z - Fire
X - Shield Dash (absorbs bullets for your Power Meter)
C - Fire Missles (usable when the Power Meter is at 100%)
Esc - Quit
Left Stick - Move
A - Fire
X - Shield Dash
LT or RT - Missles
Back - Quit
F4 - Toggle Fullscreen
PLEASE NOTE:
By nature shmups are pretty difficult games. While I've made all of the effort to balance skilled shmuppers and newbies' play styles, this game is probably going to be VERY difficult for beginners, and fairly easy for seasoned veterans.
