Amazing 3d
Wanted to give this game a 5/5 because I am a big fan of 80's fixed shooters (Galaga and Phoenix were two of my faves!), but I was a bit put off by the black n white graphics.
Ok, ok...I get it... 50's vibe. And that's cool.
But why not make 80's color an option as well?
You already have the "old movie" filter, and B & W fits fantastic with that, but I was looking for a more 80's pastel color feel....should give the players the option to do so.
Also, there IS a settings icon in the game folder, but why not make the settings easily available in-game, with perhaps resolution settings to fit each person's monitor as well?
Anyways, great playing game with some variety that games like Galaga and Phoenix lacked, and the option to use a gamepad is a big, big plus (why do some developers and suthors INSIST on making PC players use the keyboard for this type of game!!??), however, I would have liked the option to play in full color.
3/5 because of the lack of color option and the roundabout way to get to the options screen.
But gameplaywise, good good stuff.
Wow xD
This game answers an interesting question: What if arcade machines were around in the 1950's instead of the 1980's? It's a nice combination of classic space shooters such as Galaga, Space Invaders, and Millipede. Just needs some rockin' sci-fi music! [4.75/5]
The trailer for Verminest is just perfect to set your mood for this experience.
50's Sci-Fi and classic Arcade gameplay now together in 3D
