What do you think?

just played through the demo and I have to say that it was a pleasant surprise!) the plot is engaging, coherent and interesting, the sprite work is pretty good (even though most of the assets are someone else's all of them fit very nice in the game, and besides - you credited everyone for the assets in the credit - good job on that!), the battle system is pretty cool, the controls are easy to get used to and the music selection kicks ass! i love the main motivation for the character to save their sister and the ominous but helping grim reaper that helps us on our way - love the guy)

but, will all that said, there are still some bugs and problems here and there - i'll start with the bugs: the scrolling text with narration in the beginning is great and reminds me of old and classic rpg's like dungeon siege 2, but the speed of the scrolling text is too much - by the time it reaches the "lost all means of reproduction" you can't keep up with the text because it's all gone( next, in the first wooden tablet in the forest that you can interact with during the tutorial there's a message in french (i presume? forgive me if i mistook the language by accident) - "il y a ecrit sur le panneau", whereas the rest of the game is in english) there's also a consistent and nasty bug with the inventory - you can only open it after you die first and when entering the castle's dungeon's in stops working entirely, unfortunately( there's also a bug with the notes in the castle - they aren't added to the inventory and you can't read them after you pick them up( another, bug rather small and non-harmful bug is that when you stun an enemy that is looking at you from the right then the "stunned" message will be mirrored. next, there's a very nasty bug in the castle - if you save in the dungeons and die there the lighting around the main characters goes out and the music stops, too! and, lastly, in the credits the first two lines of text are too big and don't fit on the screen if you're playing in a lesser screen resolution (like i do!). even though there's lots of bugs in the demo, the game is still playable and very fun to go through, but it would be very good if all of the bugs were adressed and fixed - expecially the ones in the castle)

as for the problems, i have a few with the game and i hope that most of them will be gone away with the updates - firstly, i think that you should zoom out the screen a bit - it's kinda hard to navigate the dungeons and places and even though it adds an additional layer of difficulty it would still be good if the game was zoomed out a bit) next, the buttons in the menu should be a little bit more pixelated and stylish for the game, but they serve their purpose well and work good so i don't have all that much of a complaint about them!) next, when the character attacks the legs on his sprite kinda go underground, which is pretty strange... and while we're on the topic of attacks, i think that adding more unique attacks or tricks for the main character to do would be amazing - like a sword combo instead of just one upward slash or spells that can damage enemies or heal you, or maybe even a ranged attack with a bow - but the last one would probably break the battle system that requires you to block at the right time...

but, all in all, even with all of the bugs and problems in the game the demo is amazing, especially for its small filesize! it has wonderful dungeons and beatifully done locations to explore, the lighting in the game is done amazingly, the music is top-notch and the gameplay is pretty fun!) also, the game's icon looks very unique and memorable - love it) guys behind Spark Of Destiny, i wish you two best of luck and nerves of steel in the art of game development!) take care!
