i loved this

Nights 1-5 are really fun and balanced. My only issues are night 6 and the phone calls. I feel the difficulty curve from night 5 to night 6 is very overwhelming and it could require a nerf of some sorts. My advice is to slow down the rest of the cast and make the night mainly focused on the boss dude. For the phone calls I feel it was a bit hard to understand what he was trying to say as the calls were very mumbled and such for me. But yeah otherwise of those two issues it's a pretty cool game I suppose.

Storyline:

It's been 20 years since the incident at alcatraz, and the legends of its ghostly inhabitants have been made well known. You and a group of paranormal investigators known as the Ghoulie Grabbers were sent to investigate the island, as while the ghosts have been trapped on the island for a while, it's only a matter of time before they escape. Your goal is to finally neutralize them before that happens. Predictably, they aren't willing to go down peacefully, and are just as murderous as they were 20 years ago. However, you can't deny that something seems off... and where did The Thing go?

Description:

The Return to Alcatraz is a fan-made sequel to the recently found media fangame, "One Week at Alcatraz". The intention of this is to also be similar in vibes to the original TRTF1, hence the name. In this, you can expect the usual;

-A remixed gameplay loop based on the original OWAA

-Golden capone is real!

-A boss fight! (Scary)

Night 6 cutscenes are done raaaaah

with this, the hardest part of the game is completely finished.

Finally made it past the hard part of the cutscene, now all that's left is to write the rest of it. It's definitely gonna be a little silly but I'm going to try to take it as seriously as possible

Today I will get to work on the night 6 ending cutscene. This is probably the last "difficult" thing I will need to do in this game's development, so I'm hoping to get everything else done quickly after this is done

ok did some quick rebalancing to the boss and I'm definitely happy with how it plays now. It's nothing brutally difficult, but I think it's pretty fun, and I am very excited for you lot to try it

damn i actually did it. still need to make the night 6 ending cutscene but the boss fight is like done and I'm pretty happy with how it plays

I am back to work, I'm gonna try to get a significant amount of work on the boss tonight and see if i can actually finish all of it today

Actually managed to get a good amount of work done on the boss night beyond the opening cutscene, including the boss' basic movement and a night 6 exclusive behavior for hypothermia. I'm gonna try to continue to follow up on this momentum tomorrow

Took me way too long but I finally got the night 6 intro cutscene finished, as well as the tutorial for the boss night.

Hoping to get crackin' on the boss himself soon
