1000 followers. Oh my god. BIG announcements for you. Read below for full details on what is to come.


One thousand…….followers. For my game. Who I See.

Almost a year ago, back in May of 2018, I made my very first video game. It was my entry into the 2-week gamejam, AdventureJam2018. That first iteration was so extremely janky and unpolished, and yet shortly afterwards, it was featured on PCGAMER’s Top 5 Free Games of the Week. A month later, it won the Colossal Leap Award (Most innovative game) and a Judge’s Top Pick in AdventureJam2018.

A month after that, the great people behind Gamejolt made Who I See a main feature of their site. In its few days as the main feature, it gained over 16,000 views and 600 followers. Since then, the numbers have grown and grown and grown.

Over 57,000 views.
Over 5,700 downloads.
And now?

1000 followers.

To each and every one of you: Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you SO MUCH for playing my game, and I am so glad to know that you’ve had a great time with it. The reception has been overwhelmingly positive, full of love and excitement and intrigue. Knowing that I gave so many of you such a good game experience just fills me with glee. Thank you.

A 3D version of the beginning of Who I See.

My next game, Project LIAR, is going to be 3D with hand-drawn textures and 2D characters. To make that visual style, I have been making progress by using the beginning of Who I See as an example. Obviously, the final version of this will have Peter with a forward-facing pose/animation. I also plan for my characters in LIAR to be very animated, full of life!

My progress through the 3D creation of Who I See’s beginning has actually been shown on Patreon since the year started! Yup, joining my Patreon gives you exclusive first looks at what I’m working on, like the video above!

Right now though, all of my attention these past few weeks and this week have been focused on….

A big ol’ polish up to fix every single bug, typo, visual error, the whole shebang.

I always wanted to get around to fixing every single thing, but I’ve never had the time. Well, now that its going to be shown at the Indiepocalypse, now’s the best time to do it. Features include:

  • Improved Idle Animations so everyone - including Karla! - looks to be breathing. Also, Karla will have an idle animation, as subtle as it may be.

  • Improved visual quality: Certain art assets will be cleaned up and look far crisper.

  • Karla’s laugh will now be heard when mentioned in the game.

  • Every single bug or weird mistake will be fixed, mark my words.

  • No more problems of the inventory items overlapping each other.

  • Some parts of the quests will be made smoother and more intuitive for players, so hopefully you shouldn’t feel like you’re just randomly using items on people.

  • Several visual mistakes, such as clipping in certain scenarios or Karla being taller than the doorways in Alice’s room, will be fixed.

  • The ending, while unchanged, will be made more friendly for computers. :)

This will be released early next week.

We’ll see how the Indiepocalypse goes. I hope for the best. Once my plate is less full, I will work more on LIAR and show y’all how it’s going. Peeks of it will be posted early on Patreon!
