Haunted Haiden - 1990, Before and After

Top, Witness:

1990 was the most traumatic year Haiden/Lucas ever experienced, not counting his own demise and waking up as Haiden. Despite managing to prevent himself from being severely damaged by giving the perpetrator a concussion, he still harbours guilt for not doing more. Especially since he was too slow to help and saw the aftermath of one of the incidents.

In later years he would realise that there was nothing he could have done, all due to the demon pulling the strings. But the self loathing would continue to nag at him for the next few years.

Middle, Dumpster:

Trying to cope with the trauma of what he just witnessed, Haiden would prowl the Funland and obsessively check everywhere for a few days. He would only stop when he heard meowing coming from one of the dumpsters outside the back of the Funland.

Opening one of them, he’d discover a tiny kitten that was soaked to the bone from the rain. Haiden would take the kitten in and nurse it back to health until it was strong enough to leave, but it had become attached to him and he to it. The kitten was male and would soon go on to become Haiden’s emotional support animal, being named Luke.

Bottom, Guilt:

The guilt Haiden felt at not stopping the incidents would boil over after he and Ashley escaped the burning building. Haiden pours his heart out to Ashley about his despair over not being able to do anything to help the other trapped souls. While Ashley would try to comfort him, it would take a lot of therapy and support for Haiden to overcome his guilt. He was stuck between a rock and a hard place, alongside the demon that was pulling the strings making everything worse.

Angst time! Haiden/Lucas really goes through the wringer in 1990, that year was one of the worst for him, not counting his own demise and waking up as Haiden.

I’ll be taking a break from the Haunted Haiden Au to work on a Together Again animatronic cast inspired by Star Wars, Outer Space and various Zodiac signs; the Cosmic Animatronics. Long story short, I got bored and revamped an Au that had been sitting in a dusty corner of my mind for a long while. More will be revealed soon and while I will come back to the Haunted Haiden Au in the future it might be after “The Magic Hour” comes out.
