After some good playtesting sessions with the help of @Fraeya , I believe most if not all significant bugs have been eradicated from the game - but I could be wrong, so please prove me that!

All versions

  • General

    • Changed slightly how 8 directional movement works internally for consistency sake.

  • Overworld

    • Fixed the position of Blacktomb Yard's secret passage area trigger;

    • Patched a visual bug where the enemy's confused effect from the 'jumpscare' move would live even after the enemy was dead;

    • Patched many inconsistencies regarding the Y coordinate of height based moves (like 'hot cheese');

    • Sounds from battles no longer keep playing in the overworld;

    • Removed a leftover debug code that keeps Pinwheel Funhouse's distorted effect constant (bug found by @Fraeya );

    • Patched a visual bug where the enemy's 'esc key' would trigger the 'nope' text from already dead party members;

    • Fixed some issues regarding the 'esc key' move not deleting itself in certain conditions;

    • Fixed a bug where, by unpausing the game, the overworld music would start to play again, even in battles;

    • Freddles spawned from the freddle fury chip now too have smart Y coordinate spawn position;

    • Patched some issues regarding the guitar sound of encountering challengers and the sound of capturing a challenger;

    • Changed how characters are spawned, for more consistency;

    • Changed how 'mystery box' works, to avoid duplicate characters;

    • Enemies now take longer to use their special attacks at the start of the battle if the 'quickstart: party' chip is in use;

    • The transition of area overlays no longer get paused if a battle is triggered mid transition;

    • No longer are you able to farm token chests by standing in one place. This was a viable way of getting tokens because of the very short loading times on PC;

    • With legacy mode off, token chests' positions get saved between menus. Visiting the main menu resets them.

PC

  • General

    • Fixed a bug where pausing and unpausing could resume music played in channel 1. This includes overworld music.

Android

  • Overworld

    • Fixed the orientation of the 'perspective' distortion effect on Pinwheel Funhouse.
