Whoa, there it is, 6 years of Gamejolt + developing (kind of), starting off as a fan of FNaTI after watching Markiplier play it for the first time back in 2014, to trying to make FNaF fangames on Scratch in early 2015, to trying to learn game maker and then to being taught Clickteam by @FateForWindows .
At no point in my youth did I expect to become a fangame developer, to grow a community and to make games that people actually enjoy playing, I only ever started off with the ambition of finishing Five Nights at Treasure Island after the amount of times it got cancelled, to doing ambitious fan-made sequels/prequels which I thought could've fit the game setting.
Now these days I'm... still doing unoriginal projects/themes but it's the fact I met people along the way who helped me do these things or even recognised what I do, especially when people with more talent than me acknowledges what I do and I still find that bazzling. My games aren't the best, and I don't aim on making them the best out of the fangames on this site (cause I got no chance), they have their flaws and they're not perfect, but I still obviously aim on improving on my past mistakes. I make games for people to enjoy rather to be noticed by big creators and still surprises me when I see a recognizable figure play my games. Hell even have people who see me as an inspiration to what they do today is as well phenomenal and couldn't be any happier knowing what I do sparks the mind of other people.
I'm still honoured to talk to some of the people/mods behind Gamejolt, especially @CROS who's been a really good friend to know more and even helped out partially from time to time which I thank for a lot, a chill guy to talk to, helped me feel more at home on the site lmao
To think after 6 years though I'm still doing fangames, but slowly coming to an end soon after 2 more projects, being The Lost Ones: Treasure Island and one more project to end off with. I do plan/hope to start making original projects, but even if I've stopped doing fangames you can expect me to be helping out other fangame creators who need the assistance, so I'll always help support them on my profile devlogs.
But in the end, and I know this is cliché and everyone says it but I obviously couldn't of made this far without the support of you lot, without you peeps I wouldn't be who I am today and possibly not even developing some of the projects I do today, especially those who were there and helped me learn from my mistakes and came back stronger in the next project since the beginning.
I'm not really sure on how else I can really celebrate this occasion, i guess I could do a fireside at some point today (As its early Wednesday for me) where we could all celebrate my 6 years, and I can even host a Q&A on this devlog where yous can ask a question in the comments and I can answer the best I can. So ask away.
But in the end, here's to the future years coming.
