This is another A Dark Place update that has been released for improved gameplay and bug fixes.

Update Changelog:

Added better design to Chapter 3 The Forest and made it easier to find the double doors by showing where to go using streetlights.
Removed the ability to mess up your keyboard due to concerns. It now Instead makes your keyboard spam the text “Nightmare” repeatedly for a couple seconds instead.
Changed train speed in chapter 4 to fix long wait times. Now the train is fast at traveling between areas instead of very slow.
Fixed issues in the special edition where some levels that were updated never including the free roam mode. Now all of the recently updated levels now include it.

New Features:

Nightmare program now opens up a website explaining game plot at the end of the program. This helps people understand the game more as the ending doesn’t explain much of how everything happened.

All or most of the major issues have been fixed. We will seek more feedback on the new version to fix other issues if they exist.

Will This Game Be On Steam?

We raised enough money to publish the game on the Steam platform. But this may not happen due to Steam concerns to publish “malicious content”. This game does a lot to represent an actual virus and might not be approved because of that. Also regarding GameJolt rules if we were to publish on Steam we may have to take the GameJolt page down. Which could be a problem as the GameJolt version is the main page that receives the most traffic as there are many links that lead to this version. So the money that we raised will probably be put into my next game instead so stay tuned for that.
