A Few Words About the Work

Finally. Although the game might look like it only took 3 hours to make, it has been in development behind the scenes for quite some time. Today, after long hours of work, we decided to publish it here. It may look like a technical prototype and is very empty, but we’ve written a lot of code that will allow us to add new mechanics and content with great momentum.

What Is the Game About?

Pixel Plate is about running a small restaurant. Before the workday starts, you create dishes based on your own ideas—eventually, the combination possibilities will be countless. With each dish you create, you unlock a recipe. You can later add this to your menu so that customers can order it during gameplay. When the workday begins, you’ll have to serve long lines of hungry NPCs eager to try your specialties. You earn money, buy ingredients, invent new dishes, and have fun!

Added:

  • Movement and camera work

  • Player inventory

  • UI handling

  • Controller support

  • Item system

  • A table to place things on

  • Cabinets for items

  • 25 items and their graphics

  • Lots of bugs

Fixed:

  • Most of the bugs from the "Added" section
