A Much Needed Update

You may have noticed that it's been over a year since the game page for this project went public, yet no official gameplay for it has been shown so far. As the lead programmer for TSS, I take full responsibility for the lack of public footage and sincerely apologize for it. However, I do have a few good reasons for this.

Reason 1: A Lack of Environments

The first reason is that the only model we have not just for the pizzeria, but rather in general, is the security office. No show stage, no arcade, not even a single bathroom has been worked on. I would've worked on those earlier, but I had to get the animatronic models done, I'm currently lacking some props (especially plushies of the main cast) and I have no idea what the rooms should look like at the moment.

Reason 2: Distracted by Other Matters

The second reason, however, is because I've been sidetracked once again by other things, such as another FNaF-related project I've been working on behind the scenes. I won't tell any of you what it is yet, but the point is that it's been taking time away from this project.

Reason 3: Planning Too Far Ahead

Even though Episode 1 should be the main focus right now, I've been working on the animatronic models for future episodes as well. I know that's really dumb to do, mainly since there's no guarantee that everything will go smoothly even for Episode 1's development, but I could not help myself due to my own boredom.

This isn't the first time this has happened, either, as I had this FNaF fangame titled Kali's Forest in the works back in the ancient times of the late 2010s and I considered that giving not just one, but two sequels. While that somehow didn't lead to burnout on my end, it was still a little much, especially for something that never saw the light of day.

On an unrelated note, it's honestly a shame I lost everything relating to Kali's, but I was a teenager when I was working on that game, so the idea of backups didn't cross my mind at the time.

Reason 4: Very Little Programming Experience

And finally, even if I was working on programming the game (which I'm not), I would heavily struggle with it due to having little to no experience when it comes to using Godot's primary coding language (which is known as GDScript).

To be honest, I partially followed a tutorial on first person movement (namely when it comes to the mouse, and no, I don't remember which one it was) before altering the code to more closely mimic the scrolling system seen in the old clickteam FNaF titles.

By the way, that's the main reason as to why I opened up slots for a programmer or two, as I would really appreciate any assistance I can get not just with this project, but Godot overall.

To conclude, I once again apologize for the lack of gameplay on my end, but as much as I wish to record some in the near future for you guys to see, that definitely won't happen as game development is a long process, with each chunk of it being a long process as well.

Also, everyone on the dev team has their own things to deal with such as school, work, real life and/or other projects they're involved in. I hope I can show you guys something, but until then, I encourage you to check out some other upcoming TRTF fangames, such as Metamorphosis by Vansinne Team and Frankburt's House: Chapter 1 by VixDev!

See you guys around.

No Patrick, the demo is not releasing on Halloween.

UPDATE IN THE ARTICLE BELOW

So I'm currently looking for a 2D artist or two that can make those children's drawings seen in the first few original FNaF titles.

If you are/know one of those said 2D artists, hit me up on Discord.

I'm scaling this game down content-wise.

I'm thinking of redoing the restaurant's layout since looking back, I'm not happy with how it currently looks (as seen above).

So we're really doing this, huh?
