Chapter 3: Shadow Pursuit
As soon as the breeze started, the figure disappeared. It teared out to squares.
-Welp. I’d guess it was fake.
Fire started to move on. He stopped his way at the crossroads, where one way was leading to an old tower, and the second path offered him a walk to the Beacon - the main light source.
-Oh, a tower I see? Alright. But how do I reach that? - he questioned, as there was no road to step on.
Meaning the only way was leading to the beacon.
He walked to it, curious how does it work. Firelineron also noticed he was full of dirt.
-And I guess I’ll… “Wash” my hands here.
He put his hands into the beacon. Fire did not feel any pain, and when he pulled his arms out, he not only noticed how clean they were, but they also had a white glow.
-What does this do?
He decided to check the path to the tower. He came closer to the edge of the mountain he was on, and started to see blocks fading in.
-I-I-I hope I ca-can w-walk on them… - he was wery ancious about that. He took a deep breath, and stepped on one of the blocks. It felt like a soft cloud under his body.
-Yay, I can walk!
He quickly got up the so-called-stairs and reached the tower. He didn’t notice at first, but the shadow figure was standing there too.
-You again? How did you get up here?
There was only silence. The figure started turning around slowly. And the wind was blowing again. This time, he did not disappear.
