Keep in Mind: Remastered

A post-release thank you and some other thoughts

Hello again, everyone!

The release for Keep in Mind: Remastered was an awesome one. Both Akupara Games and Little Moth were overjoyed to see so many positive remarks about the game, and so many people sharing their stories. Thank you to everyone who has played, bought, shared, and talked about the game. We’re more thankful for you thank we can describe.

We enjoyed watching those streaming Keep in Mind, as well. The stories shared among the viewers and the discussions being had were very powerful. That’s honestly all we wanted from this re-release— for people to discuss the topics and messages within the game amidst their peers. These ideas present within the game (grief, alcoholism, self-deprecation, depression, anxiety, self-acceptance, redemption) permeate the lives of so many individuals, and we here at Little Moth feel that they simply don’t get enough light shed on them. It’s important to us that these feelings we feel, and the feelings felt of those who play our games, are shared with a supportive environment. We hope that the communities being built due to the topics in this game continue to strengthen and thrive into the foreseeable future.

All of this goes without saying that we’re happy to be aiding Child’s Play Charity as well. Their message resonates with our feelings on the topic of games as therapy and therapeutic experiences in games. Here’s to a benefiting a wonderful cause :)

We (Cherylynn and Ian) did an AMA on Reddit on the 9th on r/games and answered some questions and gave out some exciting news as well. We’d never done an AMA before but it was a very interesting experience getting the chance to answer so many questions about us, Keep in Mind, our interests, dev process, writing processes, future projects, etc.
Overall it was a great experience and we’d love to do another some day!

I [Ian] will be posting another dev log soon dealing with a question we received about my thoughts on the “Indie-flood”, or, the flood of indie games due to rising accessibility of tools. It’s an interesting, complicated, and broad topic that I’m looking forward to discussing.

That said, we’ll see you soon with an official statement on some exciting news. :)

Take care!

Today is International Day of Charity, so consider giving some peace of mind and support to those in need!

Shoobies leave a sticky trail of mucus in their wake, which can impede movement for any creature that steps in it.

I have added rewards for quests so that villagers can give you something in return for your hard work helping them. 🥳

I want to know - what's your favourite quest reward?

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
