I’ve spent today back in unity, and I decided to work on the office more. I wasn’t very happy with the quality of the graphics still so I decided to take a break from studying for my final exams (more on that later, it explains a lot) to just remodel the office after realizing the direction I can take it in. Below are 2 screenshots of the new office, and I’ve also added a flashlight to the player which will come in useful later. (None of this is final by the way)
On to those exams, I’ve not touched unity since January as a result of them. To keep it brief, they finish on June 15th and I’ve been thinking about picking this back up as something to do over the summer holidays (which spans 11 weeks so I’ll have a lot of time).
I’ll have to rewrite all the game’s code into C# since unityscript has been deprecated and I’ll be using C# for my course at college anyway so I might as well use this as the opportunity to sharpen my skills.
I’ve also elected to take the game in a more serious, perhaps even narrative direction since to stand out I feel as though the gameplay needs as much thought as the presentation.
I have plans to make it a very interesting fan game, but those won’t be revealed for a long time, until I finish the base game.
Stay tuned!

Edit: The exams mean that I won’t be able to put in any more work until June 15th, so don’t expect any more updates until then. If you want to be notified when I return, please do follow the game.
