Finally back to programming this game!
And I have done a complete recode!
So, let's go through.
TLDR; Demo gameplay is back, and I'm using a Minecraft Build as a reference for multiple images.
PART A - Demo Gameplay Rehash!
As you can see in the above video, the first part of Day 1/Sunday is the "Stocking Plushies" gameplay first shown off in the Demo from last year, though it is vastly improved. The assets for the plushies have been edited to match the updated models for the Carnies, and I did a little touch up on the way stocking works in general.
For example, the plushies you are given and the order they are given in are randomized, meaning no two gameplays will be the exact same.
I decided to remove the threat of Lazlo and Sarai attacking you, since I don't want any chance of the player dying to the first section of the entire game.
That gameplay will be back, don't you worry.
PART B - Minecraft Reference Images!
Last month, I thought it would be fun to build the camera layouts from an old tech demo of Carnyland in a Minecraft map, and got pretty into it, to the point where I made a whole new concept for the game by proxy.
So, to use as placeholder images and as reference images when drawing the actual camera sprites, I took screenshots and pasted them into the game!
You've already seen one of them on the Main Menu, but there will be more in these devlogs.
