This right here is meant to tell yall about the plot/lore of this AU. I've been abandoning my projects and procrastinating a lot so there won't be much to offer at the moment

All of this is up to change in the future!! This post will be in constant updates as time goes on!

Alright. Let's start with the basics!

*¿What's this AU about?*

This is about, of course, a virus on form of crystals spreading through Sonic's universe thanks to a mistake from a scientist. Basically like a zombie story.

*¿where does this crystal come from??

It comes from a 'new' cave that was discovered by scientists. This cave actually happens to be ancient. They bring some samples of the thing and test on them back at their lab to see what they really are.

*¿What does this crystal do.?*

The crystal grows and spreads when it comes in contact with heat while on chill conditions it just freezes in place. When in contact with blood, it slowly melts and turns into some sort of purple goo that spreads around. In this liquid state, it can also grow tiny little gems.

☆How it all started☆

A school decides to plan a field trip for their 11th graders. The school gives the students 3 places to go, most choosing a science park(based of where i live lol), the same place were the lab in wich they took the crystal samples in. They all prepare for the day of the field trip and head to their destination. The scientists show them around and explain basic science to them. One of the scientists makes the mistake of letting one of the students pick one of the samples and expose it to BLUE fire. Things didn't end well for the student nor for the rest of the group. The crystal spreaded fast and impaled the student's hand and also caused a fire around the room.

The student ended up with burns and with the virus on their system. Since they were in contact with the crystal for a long period of time, the virus spreaded fast and took over them.

¿How long does it take to infect you?

It really depends on how long you are in contact with the virus. If you keep your wound exposed to it for long enough, you could get infected in minutes (5-20). If you manage to come in little contact with it then you might have weeks if not months before being fully taken over by the virus.

☆Stages/symptoms☆

°stage one°

▪︎The user feels their wounded area they've come in contact with the virus numb. As time passes it starts to irritate and hurt.

°stage two°

▪︎The the pain and irritation in the infected wound increases and the user will feel cold and slightly dizzy. Little crystals could also be seen peeking out of the wound.

°stage three°

▪︎The user will feel abnormally cold and dizzy. They'll feel extreme pain around the infected wound and their blood color will change to a dark shade of purple. Their fur will look darker and paler and tiny crystals will start to form on the tips of the user's hair, fur or quills as well as other parts of the body like paws, ears, tail, wings, and in some cases teeth. Extra limbs could also form. They're now contagious and dangerously aggressive in this stage.

°stage four°

▪︎The user feels extreme pain on the area around the wound and well as their body due to the shards growing inside their body. They'll feel abnormally cold and have cannibalistic urges. Will not longer feel dizzy. In this stage the user will start to feel weak and frail, barely having energy to move. They may be vulnerable in this stage but that doesn't mean they can't attack.

°Stage five°

▪︎The user experiences extreme body pain, internal bleeding, cold and cannibalistic urges. They're no longer themselves. Vocal cords don't work, their extra limbs are fully formed, some of their original physical features may deform, eye white turns into a dark and palid shade of any color and their eye color changes to a lighter version of the original shade. Some infected may grow an inch or two but it's quite rare.

I unfortunately have to update Shadow's and Rouge's designs as well as redraw both Sonic and Amy so that ALL of them are updated with my current artstyle. So Tails, Knuckles and future characters will have to wait for a while till I find the time and motivation to draw them.
