Note that these are save slots for the entire game, which would basically store everything except for a few minor things (basically just the stuff in the settings menu)
The idea is that there would be 3 save slots, and you would be able to delete them (expanding on the "Reset Progress" button on the main menu of the original), copy data, and play games separately for whatever special runs you want to do
