WBaWC demo 1cc (no bombs; Youmu + Wolf Spirit)
Akira here!
You see, WBaWC is stated by ZUN as the easiest Touhou game... perhaps for hardcore players!
But... despite it supposed to be geared at hardcore players, I managed to clear it with some n00b's gameplay methods, in order to prove that ZUN said that the game is easy for both hardcore and noobs!
Stage gameplay summary:
Stage 1 - The Children's Limbo
The bullet patterns in this stage is quite relaxing for noobs.
Midboss: Petal-shaped bullets that move in circles and in opposite ways, and spirits. Very easy to take down the midboss by dodging through the gaps in the petals.
Boss nonspell 1: "Ice shards" that moves in spiralling movement. Just fit yourselves through those gaps.
Boss spell 1: Medium-sized round bullets that fly down to the bottom of the screen and then split up to some smaller round bullets. Just dodge those bullets. If possible, use the focus attack mode to deal damage to Eika (however, doing that might waste time if you don't time it properly).
Boss nonspell 2: Same thing as nonspell 1.
Boss spell 2: Big round bullets that at first stay in one spot after being shot, and then fall down to the bottom of the screen. This is quite tricky, but if you know how to get around those big bullets, you are good to go.
Stage 2 - Riverbed of the Cow (humourously, this stage is more funnier to experience if the cow boss is in a pasture near the Sanzu river)
The bullet patterns in this stage is more tricky than the last stage, especially that of a fairy who shoots out round bullets that shoot out smaller round bullets that almost like they filled the screen (LMAO). But still, in Easy mode, it is quite comfortable for noobs.
Midboss: Big round bullets that are shot at the direction of the player, as well as rows of bullets that move upwards then move down diagonally and intersect at one point. Just get through those round bullets and those bullet lines. You can bypass those bullets by cancelling them out with the Otter Mode, but I haven't do it at the moment.
Boss nonspell 1: The same thing as before, but the round bullets will be bigger gradually.
Boss spell 1: Round bullets that will get bigger gradually. Please get through the gaps between them before they get too big. Also the Otter Mode might come in handy in this situation. And do not stay at the bottom, get closest to Urumi as possible, but still watch out of those round stone bullets.
Boss nonspell 2: The same thing as nonspell 1 minus the "growing" round stone bullets.
Boss spell 2: Rapidly spawning "raindrop" bullets and stone bullets that will grow bigger. Avoid those bullets, and you must keep an eye on the raindrops, they are much faster than the stones.
Boss spell 3: Bullets that come upward and then come down at you, with some of them bouncing off the left / right edges. The bullet patterns here is quite dense, so the Otter Mode will come in handy this case, but this is only for n00bs who always care about defense. If you want more attacking, use the Wolf Mode (Eagle Mode can be hard to use this time, since the visual representation of the increased player shot can block the incoming waves of bullets in this Spell Card).
Stage 3 - Higan of the Chicken God
The bullet patterns in this Stage is crazy, and requires high concentration to get through those dense bullet patterns. This is the Stage that I lost most Lives in.
Midboss: Bullets that shoot in left - right directions, leaving some small gaps between those bullet streams, followed by small white circular bullets. Then the same thing occurs again, but be careful of those white bullets while dodging the streams of bullets.
Boss spell 1: The same thing but faster-paced and more intense.
Boss spell 1: Bullets that shoot out at all directions. The pattern here is pretty dense, so please watch out, especially when Spirit Items are bouncing around the screen and point / power items are falling down to the bottom at huge amounts.
Boss nonspell 2: The same thing, but the left - right bullet streams are longer. I lost a life during that nonspell.
Boss spell 2: Don't need to worry of the green bullets, but watch out for the laser thingy and small round bullets at the corners of the screen. Please stay near the center.
Boss nonspell 3: The previous nonspell have the yellow bullet streams come first, but this nonspell have the red bullet streams come first. I lost a life during that nonspell.
Boss spell 3: Fairly easy. Only the spirits around the chicken god can spawn bullets: First small round pink bullets then a series of two flaming bullets aiming at you. So streaming might come in handy in this spell card, and note that Otter Mode here is optional, so just try to activate the Wolf / Eagle Modes to attack Kutaka quickly (do this by collecting Wolf / Eagle Spirit items at the previous nonspells and Spell Cards, but while doing this, you have to keep an eye on the bullets as well).
And... That's all for the WBaWC demo playthrough!
I hope that in my birthday, I will get the full version of the game, and continue to play the full version and covers the playthrough of the remaining stage, and aims to get an Easy 1cc of the game!
Cya later for more Touhou!
