Hey, guys. Jono99 here. We’re so close to getting the story update done, but in the meantime, we have released a new build to avoid problems in the future with save file compatibility (as odd as that sounds). As it is, saves have a couple of problems transferring from 0.4.8/9 to 0.5.0 (due to a certain script, the game crashes if you load in a save file from an older version. In an attempt to fix this, we’ve released 0.4.10 which has a function vital to file compatibility, the ‘mez’ file format. This file format is an alternative save file format that is intended to allow users to transfer save files between the keyboard and gamepad control schemes (and the MV version of the game when it comes out). The new update adds a few new features, but there are a few bugs currently that we already know about (lighting on scrollable maps falling out of sync and Garaphor’s room’s lighting appearing out of nowhere when you load a mez file saved in Lowfall Field). 0.5 has fixed these issues, but these fixes cause more problems with save file compatibility that makes it impossible to transfer your save files over at all and thus, we have removed such bug fixes for the 0.4.10 release so the game doesn’t crash if you load in an old save file, it just crashes if you load in an old save file and move to another map. To ensure that everyone can fix their problems, we will not remove version 0.4.9 or 0.4.10 when 0.5 comes out. Just hold on a little longer, just a little more work needs to be done and then there will be more story available.
