Game Soundtrack
Test (Solarun Village)
Â
A mage by the name of Serpentwhip (that's just the default name. You can change it if you want) has been revived by the Dark mage Garaphor one-hundered years after his death. He is now free to live his life as he wishes... but at a cost.
Original game draft by pokedyl and improved scripts and transitions by Jono99
Known bugs: At one point, the game crashes with an error saying something along the lines of Array.last= doesn't exist. This is a bug in the credits, so don't worry that you're missing a part of the game, you're not, but this will be fixed in 0.5.1.
Attempting to go into the tent in Solarun Village puts you in the abandoned house instead.
Current version: 0.5.3:
Adds: A game launcher (again), a new Easter egg, save files now show what chapter they're on, setting the red window colour to 255 no longer crashes the game, you can now change the window colour by increments of 10 by holding shift, all achievements are now in the game again, the gamejolt interface now works again (it's running off of the old version used in 0.4.10 and earlier) and more bugfixes I don't remember. I also bundled the RPGo framework (the system used to allow better controller support) with the game in case you want to use it in your own game.
version 0.5.2:
Add: Numerous bugfixes, and general improvements (credit goes to Box_Of_42_Blue_Wolves for pointing out some fixes), Replaced title screen with village that's introduced in Chapter 3 that I'm way too proud of. Once Chapter 3 is complete and released, the normal title screen will return.
version 0.5.1
Add: A new chapter (finally), working GameJolt integration (hopefully), general bug fixes.
version 0.5
Adds: Rebuilt game from the ground up. Excluding the code to pan the camera, everything in the game has been recreated by hand. Story elements have been altered to fit new outline for the story (that has finally been put down on paper).
Version 0.4.10
Adds: Mez save format, Advanced lighting (off by default), improved diagonal movement, added extra functionality to gamepad control mode, reworks game launcher, Changed transition from title to game from fade to black to fade to game, Added ability to pan camera.
Version 0.4.9
Adds: A new achievement to celebrate Jono99's birthday.
Version 0.4.8
Adds: Much better controller support.
Version 0.4.7
Adds: A lot (seriously). The Ctrl options menu and sparring function are now accessible from the pause menu, the save and load options in the pause menu were revised (they change based on a number of things now), the voice acting section of the credits has been altered (the game now only credits people if you heard voicework done by them in the game at one point), and the game is split up into chapters (the game currrently has chapters 0-2). We now have added a little txt file that shows what the buttons on an Xbox 360 controller are shown as in the game's key remapper (Enterbrain made the remapper, not us) along with the fact that there is now a secret cameo of the two developers. There are now new chapters in the works so don't think we've given up on making new parts of the story. The plot shall march forward.
