An Actual Update!!!!!

Hey. I know it’s been a little while. But I’ve actually been doing stuff. Here’s a little bit o’ progress. And I mean a little bit. I’ve kinda got character movement down, though there are some weird glitchy things with the right stick movement (the player rotation). Unity (especially within PlayMaker) seemed only interested in X and Y variables, but nothing in this game moves on the Z axis (up and down). So I had to, like, remap the recorded Y axis to actually be recorded as the Z axis. That has led, I believe, to my issue.

There is also camera movement in the video. Previously, I had the camera moving to the four cardinal directions, using either the Q and E keys or the right and left controller bumpers, but that felt like too much control. Like it would just get in the way and you’d never actually need that much control in this top-down format. So the camera is still player controlled. It just takes less time to actually get to where it could be useful.

So that’s pretty much all my progress so far! I’d love to hear your thoughts on how it’s looking so far. I know there is so much more to do, but I thought I’d share some progresssssss.

Shoobies leave a sticky trail of mucus in their wake, which can impede movement for any creature that steps in it.

These are background sprites I've created for a game I'm working on at school ^w^ Click on the post to see how the sprites connect. You won't regret it! (personally, I think it's pretty heheh)

Let me introduce you to the new Mech line: Gendai Spec. Those are Mech that specializes in surprise attacks, covered operations, and stealth. They are equipped with melee weapons but one of Gendai's frames supports sniper rifles.
