So I first want to start this off with my sincerest apologies, mostly because I know how much support I had gotten for this game despite not expecting it whatsoever, and I'm incredibly thankful for all of the overwhelming support I have gotten. The game is still in progress, and there has been a great deal of progress made, it's just that it has became very hard to juggle a couple things at once. If you all don't follow my twitter (honestly I wouldn't be surprised so I ain't gonna blame you all) I've had a rough couple of months lately with my grandmother being in the hospital and recently having to get ready to move too, with that I have been big on prioritizing on saving up money and working to get money to move to the US with my boyfriend considering that's probably the best place for me to move to right now. Plus me having to make content for my YouTube account too and doing commissions to make sure I get stuff ready to go has caused an in general issue of having little to no time to work on this game.
I want to work on this game when I am deeply motivated and dedicated to the artistic vision I have for it.
I have got sketches and concepts in my sketch book and on my laptop that I haven't released yet because I want to refine them, and well, I released one of the character's official designs today to at least let people understand that yea, I am still working on this. I've got a decent portion of dialogue done with Pupi and Mumi (Shop vendors in the game) - and my boyfriend and I got some tracks done that I will have to discuss with him when it comes to releasing any of it. I also got a font made for the title screen of the game despite not being big on calligraphy.
To answer the general concern that I had gotten via dms on other social medias that tends to be the most frequently asked question "When are you going to release this game?"
and to answer that question as honestly as I can... I genuinely don't know at this moment. BUT I am hoping to get a demo released this year at best, next year at worst, and when it comes to a full version, next year at best, two years from now at worst. I hope it's understandable considering that I have been having to learn a game creation software that I've never fully learned about, but I have done research to understand it enough to at least build the basic stuff you'd need for the game itself. I've just had general difficulties too trying to figure out how to do the custom tilesets and the sprite sets too because of the fact that I don't know the resolution of the tilesets and the sprite sets so that way I can get things done nice and well. Although that's also not to mention how to figure out how to put in animation that I've got planned for it ^-^; haha, yea... there's a lot of work needed to be done.
So I really hope this makes sense and people see that everything is still green lit with production. I've only got a team of 3 so far and only 2 of us are doing the work we're supposed to do thusfar lmao. Although no disrespect to the third person. He's a genuinely wonderful guy who has a life too, and we're only human, so it is what it is. At the end of the day, I'm in charge of the project after all, and what happens, happens and I can probably pull more weight than I have been currently to make sure I get this game out in a swift and clean way.
Still, hopefully that clears up the air. I'm again sorry for all of this taking so damn long. I'm wanting to make sure that this game comes out quality, and people enjoy the final product and has the artistic style that I envision. I'll try to update more often.
Take care.
