Alright for starters, the game is not canceled or even close to it being canceled, this is just to talk about the lack of dev logs for the project and some other things I wanna get off my chest.
As all of you know, I haven't been posting any gameplay or screenshots of Silverlining, and I’m here to answer that. To be honest, I’ve been looking at the way scratch is now and it’s been really demotivating seeing people either not make scratch fnaf games but still play them, or leave scratch all together. Another thing is that there are only select few games that are actually of high detail and gameplay, but only a small bunch of people tend to pay attention to them because they ARE scratch. Of course those are the smaller things that made me stop, but the other things are just personal preferences. Making highly detailed models in scratch is 1 time consuming but (depending on what you’re looking for) very hard to optimize. With me constantly thinking about making the assets in blender and make the game in scratch, which would be easier for me but I’ve been told not to.
Also, as you may know I’ve been focusing on blender work for other projects like As The Curtains Closed or other Source Film Maker projects. With me being well known for my blender work I’ve been getting jobs to work on some other fnaf related projects, and wanting to be apart of some collaborations. As a result of this I’ve kind of strayed away from scratch and focused on making my 3D work better.
For those who like silverlining, I’m sorry but you might need to wait longer than expected. I will resume production as soon as I feel like I’m ready to move on with it, until then the game is on pause.
I’ll see y’all in the next post I make, stay sigma ✋😎🤌
