First off, I'm excited to announce that Long Hours is going to be in the Fangame Direct on October 29th! Expect something pretty awesome there!
Phobia: Long Hours has been in development for a long time now, in fact it's been for over a year already if you count me starting the ideas and early versions of the character models. I'll admit development had been very slow during the past few months, but it has sped up a lot and so much more has been done, and I'm really happy with how it's looking so far. I really do wish I had more to show off right now, but look forward to seeing more in the Fangame Direct because you'll no doubt see something bigger there!
"What can we expect to see in Long Hours?"
- A 3D environment where you have full control of where you want to look like The Awakening.
- Simple, very familiar, and not too complex gameplay mechanics like The Awakening. Classic good old FNaF style, nothing crazy or revolutionary.
- Balanced and thoroughly tested gameplay that will likely be more chaotic than The Awakening's.
- More content to the game than what The Awakening had.
- And obviously, more to the storyline and plenty of surprises here and there!
Long Hours is being made in Blender 2.78's game engine, so don't expect the game to look super flashy or anything. I'm trying my best to make it look as nice as possible though, and I think I'm doing a pretty good job with that so far.
And as for when Long Hours is going to release, that's a really big "I don't know". I've been busy doing other things in life and obviously I have my days where I just can't bring myself to doing anything at all, but I am determined to finish all of these games. But if I had to guess when it could possibly release (which I am horrible at), I would say either the end of this year, or even within the first quarter of next year. It really depends though, so take that with a grain of salt.
Anyway, the game page is up for you to see now! Updates and teasers for it will now be there and no longer on The Awakening's page, and you can go check that out here:
